I thought that I was the only one experiencing this! Nice to know I'm not losing my mind.
I'm running with OS X 10.8.4, WinXP, Fusion 5.0.3, and VMware for Tools 9.2.2 build 893683.
This usually happens when I'm in fullscreen mode. I use a Bluetooth Apple keyboard and Magic Trackpad.
Product: VMWare Workstation
Version: 9.0.2 build-1031769
Host: Windows 8, 64-bit (Build 9200) 6.2.9200
Guest: Windows 7, 64-bit (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) 6.1
VM Settings:
Guest Isolation -> Enable drag and drop & Guest Isolation -> Enable Copy and paste are both checked (enabled).
Problem:
Via the Guest OS, hitting CTRL-C and then pasting into the Host OS does not work.
However, the following do work correctly:
This is driving me nuts as I always CTRL-C instead of using the mouse. Any help in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated!

Mike, I agree whole heartedly with you, I feel this is a big mistake on the part of Microsoft and talking to colleagues around the office we all feel the same. Cloud is great but only if you actually have a net connection, not so good if you don't.
I do wonder if MS will make a U turn on this (they have been known to do this if enough people complain) because at the moment I know people would be looking elsewhere for enterprise solutions if they can't play properly.
The fact still remains that VMware started this with the removal of VMTN when they released VI3 back in the day. and I see no evidence of that wrong being righted. and with the stance that M$ has just taken, I feel that our task has just taken another backward step in to oblivion

While TechNet is going away MSDN is not. MSDN gives me the access but I have to pay for the service. If there was something available from VMware LIKE MSDN then I would definitely purchase that level of VMTN subscription.

What in the log is a marker that it was generated from 1.5 instead of 5.1? If I wanted to check ours I am not sure how to determine that. I don't see a version number of any sort in the logs.
Leaving AD stopped IPC exceptions syslog messages imedatelly. Even didn't need to reboot ESXi. Just rejoin AD again, and everything is OK now. No more IPC exception messages in syslog.

The VC has the permissions to the user and the group (in my case "ESX Admins") the weird thing is before when I have problems with permissions I can log-in with admin@system-domain and it works, I'm attaching the screen shots, perhaps it can helps.

I'm running ESXi 4.1. I have, what I believe to be, a disk I/O issue.. I have an EMC AX4-5i with two hosts.. Trying to do a storage vmotion (with the VM powered off) took over an hour before it would actually show the progress of 1%.. I had to cancel it..
Powering on a VM took over 3 minutes to login (and it was a fresh VM from template)..
Trying to install Veeam on a VM took over 60 minutes to get past the "analyzing" part..
Today I was copying files from VM to VM and while running esxtop the DAVG/cmd was over 3,000 on one of the hosts.. One of the VMs lived on host A and the other lived on host B.. Host B's esxtop DAVG/cmd didn't go over 100..
One thing to note is that the AX4's write cache is currently disabled because of a bad SPS.. I just don't know if that can cause such severe performance degradation..
Any help would be appreciated.

Also check if the VC has network access? Has anything changed in networking?
I have the same problem. I have a DL385P G8 with Quadro 4000 Card. VMs will only boot to 95% after the Xorg service is started running the NVIDIA VIB.
I am currently working on this with VMware support.

Is the SSO service running?
Can you try re-pointing the VC/Inventory service etc to SSO and check?
If a repointing does not work, uninstall and reinstall SSO and then repoint the VC/Inventory service etc back to SSO and check

MSDN is not aimed at the infrastructure techy, at over £5100 for the same level access that I currently have to Technet (at a cost of £230) going down the MSDN route simply isn't the way forward for most of us.
Quite simply MS are alienating their core infrastructure engineer base by doing this.

Probably just ignorance on my part...in the VMs themselves, I edit the /etc/host files and make sure they are all the same (3 nodes with same settings)...it's the networking outside of the VMs where I think I've screwed things up...can certainly assign static IPs from the router and have those match the networking on the VMs...I'm just a hack who only gets by with a smattering of sys admin knowledge
Agreed that MSDN is still available, but the cost price of MSDN against TechNet is significant for the hobbiest, or single person attempting to improve their knowledge.

Il primo è supportato da VMware per installazioni con max 5 host e max 50 VM.
Ai fini del supporto, non fa differenza invece se sono installati localmente o remotamente.
Lo stesso discorso vale per il vCenter virtual appliance e il suo DB.

Nope. It's going to be a huge time drain until some combination of VMware and NVIDIA fix it. NVIDIA knows it's a bug - I had a case open with them and it's moving very, very slowly. My NVIDIA incident is: Incident: 130611-000084, if you decide to open a case with them which I would suggest.
